If you should need to cancel, notice must be made 72 hours or further in advance, in which case it will be subject to forfeiture of reservation deposit funds. Any later notice will be subject to NO refund.

Single-day rentals are 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Half-day rentals are either 8 a.m. – 12 p.m., or 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. Multi-day rentals are from 8 a.m. on your first day to 5 p.m. on your last day, and you can keep your rental overnight.

We are located in Pitkin, Colorado, just a short drive from Gunnison, as well as a pleasant 1-1.5-hour drive from Crested Butte or Salida.

When you arrive, you will need to sign a release of liability as well as our rental agreement. The entire rental party (drivers and riders) need to be present. Anyone under 18 years of age will need a parental/legal guardian to sign the release of liability for them.

Once again, due to our short season, we cannot cancel reservations due to weather. However, we will work with you (if our schedule allows) to move your reservation date to avoid inclement weather.

All drivers must be 25 years of age or older.

No. Fuel is added to the rental. The average renter will use 3-5 gallons of fuel per day, to give you an estimate.

No, there are no mileage restrictions.

Yes, however, please understand that these machines have bucket seats that are hard for dogs to stand in, especially over rocky, uneven terrain. Please bring towels or blankets to protect the seats, as you are responsible if your pet tears the seat covers.

No, as maps have a habit of being damaged or walking off. There are a variety of different maps offering different levels of detail available at the Silver Plume General Store.

You are in the Colorado Rockies, and the weather can change at any time. Bring sunglasses, sunscreen, bandana, or buffs (available at the Silver Plume General Store) for dust, closed toe, durable footwear, and multiple layers with at least a waterproof outer shell. You will also want to bring food and water (also available for purchase at the Silver Plume General Store). If you have your own helmets, bring them, otherwise, we can provide them.
