After the Ride

So you’ve decided you’re going to come rent a RZR from us and explore the Taylor Park, Tin Cup, St. Elmo, and Pitkin areas! Great! We’re excited to have your business! But what do you do after your awesome adventure in the Colorado Rockies? Well, eat, drink, drink and be merry of course!

We have been in the Gunnison Valley for 9 years now, and we like to eat! Below are our top 5 places to go grab a bite to eat after your ride!

Number 1 – Silver Plume Grill

Silver Plume Grill in Pitkin Colorado

Ok, we’re a bit biased here. But the food truck next to the Silver Plume General Store is ran by our family and serves up great food a few steps away from where you check in your RZR. Big hamburgers, delicious brisket and pulled pork sandwiches, corn dogs, hot dogs, crispy fries, and much more means there is something for everyone in your group after you get back from exploring the mountains. Make sure to check it out for an lunch stop as well if you’re staying in the area!

Number 2 – Garlic Mike’s

Garlic Mike's River Bar

Where do we start… Great Italian food, great atmosphere, great drinks… but what really tops it off is the Garlic Mike’s River Bar located literally feet away from the Gunnison River. Featuring live music most weekends, it is one of the best places in Gunnison to take your family and kick back while sipping a handcrafted drink. Their Italian food is to die for and the owners, Mike and Tracey, are some of our favorite people in the business and they have created an amazing restaurant. Be sure to tell them we sent you their way! (oh and order plenty of Garlic Fries, you’ll love them!)

Number 3 – Blackstock Bistro

Black Stock Bistro in Gunnison Colorado

Located on the main drag (Highway 50) in Gunnison, Blackstock Bistro has a bit of a more upscale feel and a wide variety of food on their menu. From their killer Blackstock Bistro, to their a fish tacos, to the Bistro Fries, you won’t go wrong. If you luck out, on Wednesdays, they mix things up a bit and do a Japanese Ramen night for something a bit different!

Number 4 – The Dive/Mario’s Pizza

The Dive in Gunnison Colorado

This cheating a bit by cramming these two restaurants together, but they are both owned by Danny and Kerry Lefebvre, and share the same entrance. Mario’s has been a staple in Gunnison for years, providing great, unique pizzas and absolutely delicious pasta salads (order a large, and keep some for leftovers tomorrow!). The Dive is… hard to explain. An indoor food truck (the building is literally built around it!) serves some of the most creative dishes you’ve ever seen, with an ever changing menu. Great outdoor feel and seating to take advantage of the Gunnison summer weather.

Number 5 – High Alpine Brewing

High Alpine Brewing in Gunnison Colorado

If pizza and craft beer are your thing, look no further than High Alpine Brewing! Opened in 2015, this has been one of our go-to places because of the awesome architecture, eclectic pizzas, and fantastic craft beer (they also have great regular pizzas like pepperoni, with a High Alpine flair). Great sandwiches, and some of the best salads in Gunnison, you’re sure to find something here to eat while you kick back on their second story balcony that overlooks Main Street Gunnison and the rolling hills around Gunnison.
